Enjoy the summer reading programs for children, teens, and adults at the local branch of your Northwestern Regional Library. The summer reading program is sponsored by the state to encourage youth reading during the school break, a time when research shows the most kids risk losing some of the reading skills gained during the academic year. Join the Mt. Airy Museum of Regional History @ 10am the first Friday of every moth for fun and fantasy as we read stories related to the Museum exhibits. This FREE program is intended for preschool-age children.
Saturday, September 11
Super Saturdays, held at 10am on the second Saturday of the month, are workshops for children ages 7 and up where they can roll up their sleeves and get their hands on history! Space is limited to 25 children, so pre-registration is encouraged. Super Saturday is free to Museum members and $5 for non-members. To register, please contact the Museum @ 336-786-4478.
Toast and Jam - FREE to the public: Good Wine, Good Music, and a Taste of Mt. Airy, all set in the Museum's picturesque courtyard. Old North State Winery will be featured with music by jazz singer Diana Tuffin accompanied by guitarist Dan Edwards. Food will be provided by Trio.
